After going on the road to Beverly, MA to beat Endicott in our season opener 20-5, WIT Women’s Rugby traveled to Plymouth State to win their second match in a row.
The game started off slow on the Wentworth side, allowing a try from Plymouth early in the first half. After that, WIT woke up and only allowed one more try from Plymouth for the rest of the match. Tries were scored by rookie wing Nora Jerome (who made an outstanding showing, starting in her first match ever), senior scrumhalf Kelsea Miller, and senior flanker and forwards captain Carissa Shetrone. Leti Santa (prop) put points on the board with multiple penalty kicks and conversions.
The final score for the match was 30-10.
